Nakba day is is commemorated on 15th May. It marks the date when the British Empire gave up it’s mandate on Palestine and 750’000 Palestinians were forcibly removed from their land and homes, many forced into refugee camps and substandard living conditions. The persecution, ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinian people continues to this day. Israeli politicians are now open about their plans for Palestine, while most western governments continue to supply Israel with the weapons and means to commit the mass murder of civilians.
We attended Nakba commemorations in London and Brighton, Saturday and Sunday respectively.
